Dr. Lena Weinman

Fellowship-Trained Cosmetic Surgeon in Seattle

Dr. Lena Weinman, DO, is the newest Cosmetic Surgeon to join Dr. Tony Mangubat’s practice, La Belle Vie Cosmetic Surgery, in Seattle, Washington. Dr. Weinman has a unique background that combines training in Obstetrics and Gynecology with non-surgical cosmetic treatments and cosmetic surgery. She has a long history of advocating for women’s health and is excited to extend her practice to the transgender and non-binary communities by providing gender-affirming surgical care. Dr. Weinman performs Top Surgery, Breast Augmentation, and Body Sculpting.

Dr. Weinman received her medical degree from Nova Southeastern University – College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency at McLaren Greater Lansing, a teaching hospital. She has provided exceptional care as an Obstetrician and Gynecologist since 2008. She is board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Her introduction to cosmetic and aesthetic medicine came through her certification as a dermal filler and neurotoxin injector. Dr. Weinman later became the Medical Director of several med spas in Michigan. She also serves as an adjunct faculty member at MSU College of Medicine and as an attending physician for multiple OBGYN residency programs.

In 2024, Dr. Weinman completed a one-year Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship under the direction of Dr. Mangubat, a veteran of transgender surgery with over 20 years of experience in the field. This intensive program provided significant hands-on clinical experience in facial and body surgery, with a focus on gender-affirming Top Surgery, Breast Augmentation, and Body Feminization/Masculinization techniques.

Dr. Weinman maintains her educational requirements and membership with the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, AmSpa, and the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, while also providing oversight for the La Belle Vie Medspa.

Seattle Top Surgery Surgeon

Dr. Weinman offers two primary Top Surgery techniques: Keyhole Top Surgery and Double Incision Top Surgery. The Keyhole method is best suited for those with a small amount of breast tissue, while the Double Incision approach is the most reliable for individuals with larger chests. For both types of Top Surgery, Dr. Weinman performs chest contouring using liposuction to ensure a natural-looking result.

Gender-affirming Breast Augmentation is similar to traditional Breast Augmentation but with some subtle yet critical differences. To properly align breast implants with the nipples, adjustment of the inframammary fold is often needed. Many transgender patients also require larger breast implants compared to cisgender women. Dr. Weinman has worked closely with Dr. Mangubat to integrate these fine details into the surgical planning to improve aesthetic outcomes for her transgender and non-binary patients.

Dr. Weinman also performs gender-affirming Body Sculpting. Whether you are looking to reduce or augment body curves, Dr. Weinman can help. Liposuction is a safe method for removing fat from targeted areas such as the abdomen, hips, and buttocks. To enhance curves in the thighs and buttocks, some of the extracted fat can be transferred to these areas.

Dr. Weinman performs surgery at La Belle Vie’s private surgery facility.
