Your consultation, surgical procedures and follow-up visits take place at Dr. Sherie’s private, trans-friendly surgery center located in South End Charlotte. Some of the ways that The Cosmetic Concierge creates a safe space for clientele include:
- When you first fill out an inquiry form or make an appointment by phone you are asked for your preferred name and pronouns, and these will always be honored.
- Two signed, notarized letters confirming surgery for gender transition are provided. These letters can be used to change gender markers on ID documents, if desired.
- Dr. Sherie uses informed consent for gender affirming procedures, just as she does for any other surgery. (In accordance with WPATH standards, a letter from a licensed provider is required for Orchiectomy.) The same criteria are used to determine whether any labs, medical or psychological clearances are needed for cis, trans and non-binary patients. Additionally, Dr. Sherie does not require that a patient be taking hormones, present as any specific gender publicly, or be in the process of changing their gender markers to qualify for surgery.
For out of town clients, Dr. Sherie offers assistance with finding lodging, and an overnight medical caregiver can also be arranged. Also offered are post-operative care packages that include all needed post-operative supplements, extra dressings and garments.
Top Surgery in North Carolina
Dr. Sherie has performed thousands of top surgery procedures since 2012. For many patients, she uses her Buttonhole Technique for FTM chest reconstruction, which allows the nipple-areolar complex (NAC) to be resized and repositioned while remaining attached to a thin dermal pedicle. This preserves blood supply and nerve connections, helping maintain sensation and pigmentation.
With this approach, the nipples are brought through carefully placed circular incisions and sutured into position, avoiding the extra incisions of the Inverted-T technique and the potential scarring, depigmentation, and loss of sensation associated with free nipple grafts. The result is a more masculine, natural-looking chest with appropriately sized and positioned nipples that retain projection and sensation.
In addition to the Buttonhole Technique, Dr. Sherie offers Double Incision with Nipple Grafts, Inverted-T, Peri-Areolar, and Keyhole top surgery methods. Pectoral implants and body masculinization procedures are also available, allowing surgical plans to be tailored to each patient’s anatomy and goals.
The cost of Top Surgery with Dr. Sherie is typically $11,000 – $13,000 but can range from $10,000 – $18,500. Prices include all operating room and facility fees, doctor’s fees, anesthesia, and pre- and post-op visits. Prices do not include prescription drugs, laboratory fees (if required), post-operative care materials or additional post-operative binders. Pricing is accurate as of January 2026.
