Dr. Angela Rodriguez, MD is a board-certified plastic surgeon in San Francisco whose medical career is dedicated to providing surgical care for transgender patients. Dr. Rodriguez is fellowship trained in craniofacial surgery and had 14 years of craniofacial, aesthetic and pediatric plastic surgery experience before becoming a full-time Gender Surgeon. Dr. Rodriguez has a special interest in Facial Feminization and is also highly proficient in Vaginoplasty, Breast Augmentation and Top Surgery.
Dr. Rodriguez obtained her medical degree at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia. She completed her internship, residency and fellowship in plastic surgery at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center before completing additional fellowship training in craniofacial surgery at Stanford University and spending two years as a research fellow at Harvard University.
Prior to providing gender-affirming surgeries, Dr. Rodriguez was devoted to the care of children with facial congenital anomalies or disfigurement as a result of accidental trauma. She served for several years as Plastic Surgery Director of the craniofacial anomalies clinic at Valley Children’s Healthcare in Madera, California.

Surgery Requirements
Dr. Rodriguez follows WPATH guidelines for surgery:
- You will need to provide two referrals from qualified mental health professionals for genital procedures; one referral for other procedures unless otherwise specified by insurance.
- A letter from your hormone specialist stating you have been on 12 months of continuous hormones for genital procedures, unless clinically contraindicated.
Financing & Insurance
Dr. Rodriguez accepts credit/debit cards, cashier’s check, money order, wire transfer and medical financing via CareCredit. She also accepts insurance and some managed Medi-Cal plans. Medicare is not accepted.
