Dr. Breanna Jedrzejewski, MD, MPH, is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon dedicated exclusively to serving the transgender, non-binary, and gender-nonconforming community. Her commitment to advancing gender-affirming care is supported by a lifelong dedication to social justice. Dr. Jedrzejewski seeks to understand the challenges faced by marginalized communities in accessing healthcare and aims to contribute to improving that access. She is highly trained in a comprehensive range of gender-affirming procedures, including facial and chest surgeries as well as genital reconstruction. Dr. Jedrzejewski joined Align Surgical Associates in 2023 and practices at their San Francisco location.
Education and Training
Dr. Jedrzejewski earned her medical degree from Brown University and holds a Master of Public Health in Global Health from Yale University. She also completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in fine art photography at Yale. She underwent a six-year integrated plastic surgery residency at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU), where she gained extensive experience in gender-affirming surgeries. During her residency, Dr. Jedrzejewski received the Best Resident Research Award (2019-2021) in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Surgeries are performed at the Post Street Surgery Center, California Pacific Medical Center, and St. Francis in San Francisco.
Surgery Requirements
Dr. Jedrzejewski is a member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) and adheres to the WPATH Standards of Care guidelines for surgery. Requirements vary by procedure, and the patient’s insurance may have additional requirements:
- All patients must have a diagnosis of gender dysphoria from a qualified mental health professional and provide one or two letters (depending on the procedure) stating the medical necessity of the surgery.
- Patients seeking genital surgery must be 18 years of age or older.
- Patients must have been on hormone therapy for at least one year, unless clinically contraindicated.
- A mammogram is required for Top Surgery patients aged 50 years and older.

Dr. Jedrzejewski accepts health insurance from numerous insurers, as well as some managed Medi-Cal plans.
