Dr. Daniel Simon, DMD, is a leading expert in Facial Feminization Surgery and the Co-Founder and Co-Director of Facialteam—an internationally recognized center of excellence in facial gender-affirming surgery, renowned for its surgical innovation, precision, and compassionate patient care.
Dr. Simon began his medical journey in São Paulo, Brazil, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Medicine from Universidade Paulista. He went on to pursue advanced training in the Surgical Anatomy of the Face at the University of São Paulo (USP), followed by a four-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, completed between 2001 and 2004.
From 2005 to 2007, Dr. Simon completed a specialized fellowship in Oral and Craniomaxillofacial Surgery at the Eeuwfeestkliniek in Antwerp, Belgium. During this time, he also earned his European Dental Medicine Degree and a Master’s Degree from Ghent University.
Since then, Dr. Simon has focused his career on Facial Feminization Surgery (FFS), with a particular emphasis on innovations in jaw and chin contouring. He has developed and refined techniques that have advanced the field, especially within the scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Dr. Simon is also a contributing author to key medical publications on facial gender-affirming procedures.
