Facial gender surgery (FGS) is growing in popularity among patients but represents a technically demanding set of procedures. Computer-aided surgery (CAS) has improved precision and accuracy of osteotomies and decreased operative time in complex reconstructive craniofacial surgery. FGS is a natural application for CAS because the procedures are not only technically challenging but also demand a high standard of aesthetic results. Computer-aided planning and execution has the potential to deliver a paradigm shift in precision for predictable results with facial skeleton modification, expanding procedures to their maximum potential magnitude to achieve highly aesthetic and feminine results.
