Body Sculpting
Body Sculpting, or Body Contouring, aims to enhance the profile of the upper body, abdomen, flanks, hips, buttocks and thighs. In the context of gender-affirming surgery, Body Sculpting is often referred to as Body Feminization or Body Masculinization Surgery. These procedures are performed with liposuction to remove fat cells using suction. When there’s a desire to augment body curves, the removed fat can be transferred to specific areas of the body, such as the hips and buttocks. Body sculpting procedures include Abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), hip and flank reduction, thigh lift and Brachioplasty (reshaping the back of the upper arm.)
The surgeons below have expertise with performing Body Sculpting for transgender people who are looking for a surgical solution to alter the shape of their body when diet, exercise and hormone therapy have fallen short.
For Buttock Augmentation surgeons, see Buttock Augmentation.
