Reconstructive Urology
Reconstructive urology (also called genitourinary reconstruction) is a sub-specialty of urology that focuses on restoring normal urine flow in both the upper and the lower urinary tract. A reconstructive urologist has the experience and specialized training necessary to treat post-operative complications such as urethral fistulas and strictures, which are particularly common with Phalloplasty surgery.
